LOL. I have had spam. There are some things in life I really dont want to know about. Spam is one of them.
I would rather have a plate of brussel sprouts than more spam. Yet if I am starving and all there was is a can of spam I would eat it. Not saying I would enjoy it. Tho that is the one thing the wife and I agree on. Not to keep spam in reserves.

It appears the fine folks of east central Alabama don't take this new internet and cell phone thing very seriously. Sending this out like a message in a bottle. Will be 44 pages behind when I get out of here if Joe Dirt doesn't get me first. Joe is currently working at TA and doesn't have the tool to take a theft proof lug nut off. Kinda unbelievable.

Not sure wheelbase of truck .. Has 390k on the odometer... Seems very well taken care of , even inside is not beaten up which is usually a good sign. Ive signed onto DSV transport out of missoula, montana. Going thru their lease program. Good sized company about 300 drivers. Only owner operators and lease operator , no company drivers.... I never wouldve thought i would go thru a lease program, ive been saving up to buy my own truck but the terms of the lease seem pretty reasonable, and i will use the money i been saving to help out with maintenance on this truck....

I get paid 75% of gross
Company takes 25% off top.

Truck payment is not a fixed payment.
I pay all the expenses including paying myself (30% of the 75% cut), whatever is left over at the end of the month after all expenses is what the truck payment is. No balloon payment at the end of the lease.

Supposedly they have given the title to 30-40 drivers this year and over 60 last year.

Company has in house dispatchers, and agents and brokers scattered all over the country for me to use as well as i can pick loads off any load board.

Company runs stepdecks and flats. Me im getting a flatbed.

It seems like reasonable and fair terms for a lease. Especially comparing to other companies programs . definatly going to be a bit of a learning curve at first. Have to get out of the mindset of a company driver.

Im definatly stressed and nervous, but at the same time ready to get going and make some money.. Orientation supposed to last 2 more days then im out on the road.....

HR Block also does fleet management and still has a website.

No not really they seem good when it comes to helping out with the trucking side of it. But im pretty much on my own figuring out taxes and personal finances,they recommended i get a cpa
