We had cartons of each component, and could put together one any way you wanted. Beer and drinks truck drivers could not fasten one on the truck, and strange.. Could fall off the back and still get run over. Like driver come in and say...
"Oh, while you are at it repairing Mr. Johnson, just put air tires on it, and those pistol grip handles...."
Customization to suit deliveryman sometime required 2 or more wrecks to get one that would stay tied.
