We have been to the place that the tube would be inserted if someone were to give the planet an enema — it was about 40 miles past this poor lost soul— but we have improvised, adapted and overcame and have set up a spike camp in the people’s republic of Boise

Seriously, I have probably picked up a dozen possums by the tail as a kid/teen ager. Ones we ran across or came upon around the house barn or out buildings would "Sull". Just collapse and like play dead. Pick him up by his tail an tote his carcass over out of the way and drop . Go on about our business and later look and he would be gone.
With that said, I did not consider one being in the tree, as I couldn't tell you if they climb. Mine were caught out in the open and locked themselves down. Know the folk stories on kill, dress, clean, stuff with sweet potatoes, call Elmer when about done...
Pic would not post, was a rotary wheel with lots of possible #.

Just pick him up by the tail, let him hang steady, clamp an ear with the tattoo pliers. As many as you go thru, you prolly need one of these.

We picked up after delivery, and have ESCAPED FROM THE COMMUNIST STATE.

Tomorrow we shall proceed to The Casa Del OM, before continuing eastbound and down.
