Not as such, but prolly as Daddy said...Throw the chain over and bind the logs together, not to the trailer. Come a crash, lose logs, keep trailer intact. Was instruction to me at about age 12/15 on getting a load of wood out and to the houses.

(A load was about 8 or 10 12 foot oak/hickory logs min of 12 inch diameter.. On a 4 wheel bare trailer behind a Farmall M tractor. 2chains -1 binder.)
