New code compliant for new construction aint exactly cheap.

The new Arc Fault and GFCI breakers are running about $60 to $80 for a single pole 20 amp. Traditional are under $10.

I'm looking at $2k for just the breakers in the panel of the new house.

    Yeah, that's the idea.
They're good guys....honest as the day is long.
Called them out a couple of years ago because my furnace wouldn't start. Turns out, the gas had been cut off when I was out of town and I missed the bill.
Anyway, (this is on a Saturday, by the way), a dude shows up, says this is your problem, turned on the gas and says no charge. I couldn't believe it.
Then he asks if I would like to buy a CO2 alarm/sensor. I did and I'm happy I did.

So, fast forward a couple of years and turns out Trump wants to give me some money.
And, as luck would have it, my heating and AC guys needed some money, so I gave it to them.

    Friendly bunch

It takes a fair amount of paperwork to get refrigerant these days, I have a card for supermarkets, warehouses, cold storage, can't buy a 1# can for a vehicle???? Irritated the living #### out of me. I have the vehicle card but this place wouldn't accept it, I can order the stuff by the railcar load, but can't buy a 1# can.

Usually outdoor coil being plugged is what causes that, clean coil counter airflow
