In the 50's; at the junction of US 6 and IL 47, stop on 47 for stop sign to cross 6. Look to your left and in the corner would have been The Owl Restaurant, with a big gravel front of plenty easy truck parking. My last stop/coffee before WI line at Lake Geneva enroute to Waukesha.

Going north on 47; after you crossed US30, you dropped down sharply thru town and to a river and back up and level to the Owl. Going down then you were passing a line of close storefronts, including the Police dept. Where the MAN sat (in good warm summer weather), in a lawn chair monitoring his twin cable whammy in the street. You speed, he have the car apprehend you as you pulled up at the OWL.
Wish I had a dollar for every time I crossed 6 on 47. Not rich, but be nice....

If the price of fuels wasn’t bad enough in Cali, this should make the problem worse.

Ya don't suppose this one decided to go out with a "bang"; while collecting bye bye insurance money as they passed went?
