Choice 'B'.......
Dig a hole, put your post in it and firm/level it up with crushed rock (50lb bags sold at Lowes).
Hose it down, and reapply.
Here's the reason why concrete is not a great idea.......
Concrete tends to make a 'collar' around the post, (4x4 I'm guessing)
When it rains, water accumulates around the collar and degrades the pole
Using crushed rock or pea gravel allows the rain to pass through
And it's just as sturdy as concrete.
