What if it Snows?

So after a ruff night I skittered over to to the ER nice and early to beat the other sick effers. Some……some dude in there having a loud fone convo aboot his bad reaction to prozac. Used to know a guy we called him Prozac Pat. He was a big pill head. Probly dead by now. Anyway after a parade of cuteness looked at me half undressed they said you got the bronchitis. Was in and out in less that one (1) hour. Totally. Impressed.

 

Oh. Was eating cough drops nonstop yesterday afternoon and night. Only way I could keep the coff under control. Thought I had a extra bag in the medicine drawer. Looked. Nope. F. Everything was closed. Thought I don’t have enough to last till morning. Then. Remembered I thought I saw some in moms dresser. Sure enough there was a small stash. Some of em had been there awhile. Crisis averted!

 

I f you can find these, they work really well for breaking up deep congestion in the chest and sinuses

 

Years ago mom would put some Vicks in a pan with some water and heat it up on the stove. Then the afflicted person would breathe the fumes coming off the pan. Good times !

 

Towel over the head, making that steam tent. Been there. The pucks are good, if you don’t use the whole one you can pop it in a plastic bag and seal up for the next time. It’s hard on the eyes in the shower, but with slow deep breathing to get it all the way down the lungs, really breaks stuff up and lets you hork it out

 

Found some Vicks in the bathroom cabinet. Put a pot on the stove and took several large hits lol

 

We are in the final phase of preparing/training for tomorrow’s cook — it’s hard physically, mentally and emotionally— but as Senior Chief used to say—“Cook the way you train and train the way you cook”.
