We will go to five feet for fence posts and deck footings. If it’s a home addition we put the footing ten feet down to keep the freeze push away

If you haul heavy diesel is better. Otherwise gas is more straight forward. No DEF or DPF, ect....

Usually cedar, with a pressure treated frame, and cedar decking. Have never really liked the composite decking, it gets too hot in the summer and you can’t really fix any damage to the boards, just have to replace them and then they don’t match up with color and fade.
It helps having healthy budgets to deal with.
The one above was for a friend of mine, a little less budget, all pressure treated frame and decking. It is the last time I will install the glass panels on the second floor. There was no machine access to get them up there, next time it’s the glass guys problem.

It's kind of like telling a kid not to stick their finger in a light socket, as soon as you say it they do it.

If you haul a lot. If it’s just every now and again a gas might surprise you

That would be awesome! When doing paving stones we put in a 18 inch base for walkways, 24 inches on driveways. Have seen shows from warmer places where they put down an inch of sand and lay em down. Must be nice

May even be 18 inches. I can’t remember.
