For anybody currently on or heading to the left coast, I-5 is closed in both directions in southern Oregon due to a wild fire. Those of you familiar with the TA in Phoenix, it's all currently evacuated. My daughter lives just west of there in Jacksonville, and she's on a stand-by evac. I guess the strong winds are blowing the fire north right into Medford. Could get really ugly there tonight.

I do the same with my 52oz jug.
Clerk "Coffee?" "Nah, tequila. Got tired of being pulled over, so now I just fill it with tequila, ice and margarita mix, an let the road mix it for me." Clerk: *Stupid look on face, as joke zooms over their head* Me:" It's soda...."

I wouldn't tell you, you were doing it wrong. I'd just make jokes and laugh. I bring my own beer though, and I don't fly, and gas is cheap. Just imagine the hilarity that would ensue.

I don't fly because 1. Lines suck. 2. Airport security is about as enjoyable as a rectal exam with a spiked gauntlet. I wish more people would fly, it would lower the amount of idiots I have to deal with when driving.

On the wind: Pfft..that's rookie winds. ;)

On the new place: Looks nice. I like your tree. Me and my cooler think that would be a fine place to sit and drink a couple beers. The road off in the distance looks like a nice photo. Don't have a ton of homes around you from what it looks like. Which instantly makes it even better.

I like your new bunker. Best part it's yours!

Enjoy the new home and all the memories you get to make in it.

Sirscrapntruckalot - BOOM! - The thunder earlier. It interrupted my nap. I was not pleased.

Seems the fire in Sonoma region has flared up with the high winds. They have expanded the evacuation area.

Salt Lake City is a mess as well. Wind speeds of 99mph. Trees down and debris all over the region.
Power has been out since about 2 AM. 170,000 customers is the current estimate. No solid estimate on getting it back on. Temps have been mid to low 40’s. Forecast says more tonight and into mid day tomorrow.

I think between the three of us, we have a winning combination. I'll send my chauffeur. Lol

Yeah I keep hearing that, but I was up there a couple hours ago and saw nothing. Must be some small hot spots they're worried about flaring into something big with the wind. Honestly, winds here are very mild right now. Much worse north of me.

Hey, don't compare us to those FedEx heathens.

(And guys, please do not judge the company by all of the rookies that are currently flooding the system. We are trying to get them up to snuff. Expansion can be dicey.)
