I came back from Michigan to Ohio this afternoon, back to the terminal.

I was told I wasn't going back out until tomorrow night, so I called Missus Skillet and told her I was coming home. I picked up a pizza for us on the way home, and I was looking forward to a 24-hr break at home.

No sooner do I cross the front step, my phone starts blowing up.

It's dispatch.

Tomorrow night's load just cancelled, so I gotta leave the yard about 5am to pick up a load in Chicago, then bring it back to the yard.

So basically, I get 12hrs off instead of 24.

Of course, I DID get to take a soak, eat pizza, hang out with my sweetie, and sleep in my own bed. So there's that.

 

What's a "WOT event"?
