There is one aspect of doing flatbed that has its drawbacks. I don’t mind the working outside in all types of weather. Kind of take it as a challenge. It’s getting ready to go work in 0 degree, snow, ice and wind that is the biggest problem. So your in your warm truck, you start getting ready to go out and work, first you put on the silks, then the thermals, pants, shirt, boots, jacket, get your gloves and it happens, You gotta PEeeeeee, and right now. Not later, now.

I love working for a great company...

My wife is having pregnancy complications and has been in the hospital. Baby will Definetally be early... Maybe require a c-section. I was homeward boumd when I foumd out, but the load I had needed to be dropped in UT before I could go home to ID. So I got ahold of my boss and explaimed the situation and that I wanted to get home ASAP. He said "Just head back here to the yard, I will see if I can find someone with a load coming straight back here that you can switch with. If you dont hear from me just come home with the load you have."

I'm currently parked for the night... I will be switching loads with another driver in about an hour or so once he catches up to me. These are the kind of things GOOD companies make happen.

That’s is a perfect example of a good company. My company I’m with now, a few winters back really showed their colors. I was in line to pick up soy hull pellets 3 hours always from the yard. Well wouldn’t you know they broke down, and there I sat. My dispatch called and said “Weren’t you wanting back for your daughters Christmas pageant tonight?”
    “Yea, I was”
“Forget those pellets just bounce back. Your daughter wants you there, we can get those pellets monday”
Didn’t mean to shoe horn into your story, but yes, being treated like that goes a long way. More importantly though, here’s to sending my best wishes to baby and you and your wife. Hope all is well!

Love that big dog and take care of him. He will repay your kindness someday in a profound way.

I'm just happy there's someone home behind his eyes today. He was BLANK yesterday after the anesthesia. Kinda concerned me, even while my wife the nurse was just laughing in a nice way at him.

His incisions look great. He's in capable hands with my lady. I'm thankful for her.

Probably some "rump" group trying to cut in on an established school.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "rump group"?
