What if it Snows?

Yea I know sometimes things happen, and with the combined circumstances I had today things weren't ideal. Being power only with a trailer that's like a time bomb waiting for delivery makes things difficult. The difficulty is compounded by the winter storm incoming, and by the customer not wanting early delivery of the trailer. I understand why some guys like power only, but I'll be happy to have my own trailer.

 

Mostly yes, I would say >90% dead. I have scored a few good loads. Mostly Hazmat out of Pueblo, and stuff heading to trade shows. Oh and a window Manufacturer with multi-drops over to UT.

Beyond that you're looking for the Unicorn beer load that gets you to a mediocre freight location that gets you to an o.k. or better freight lane.

 

Beer load to slc is usually about the best, short pays ok, and sets you up. My problem is that I HAVE to go to CA, which isn't paying chip.

 

I have I been to colorado in 5 years. I took power plant equipment from a VA port to Denver. Deadhead 150 miles into Kansas to get the next load. I had a 48' flat.

 

So, I'm at the trashy J in Battle Mountain, safely parked and east of where the storm is hitting. I'm making money, I didn't hit anything (or anyone), and I helped a flatbedder with his load earlier. I'd call it a good day.
