What if it Snows?

She was happy with it. She had let it sneak up on her as well, so my being home this weekend had another advantage even if it wasn't making money.

It does help that I don't wait for special dates to spoil her, and she never knows when she is going to have some little gift coming.

 

We did that once. Got so busy with stuff going on we both forgot our anniversary. Lucky for me she forgot too or it could have gone real bad for me.

Not sure why, when asked, people seem to be surprised to hear that it has been 30 years to the same woman.

 

Man I hate sitting here at the yard not making miles. Yeah I got to run some errands. But now that I have the stuff I can't get out on the road. I am going stir crazy. But I'm stuck here till Monday afternoon at the earliest. Gotta get through one of the quarterly safety classes. I was able to talk with a few drivers that drive Petes. Seems, as I was thinking, that of the three trucks. The Freightliner has the most room inside. Even though the Pete has a bigger bed. Not as much storage as the Freightliner. So I'm going to see about switching to one to be sure. Then if that is the case. In 6 months I'll have them give me a brand new one.

 

Simple, we live in a throwaway society. Too many people are unwilling to work on things, couple that with the unrealistic expectations from tv/movies and it's a recipe for failures. Why try to fix ourselves, when we are always told how special we are? Why try to fix a relationship when there's a thousand dating apps and lawyers for you to get out of a difficult one?

 

My anniversary will be 40 in August. How the time flies.
