Well I got my yard work done. Looking good. Had to move about 6 sprinklers back. Got all the chicken lights out back, spaced evenly. Wife came home, just as the work was done. Halfway through cutting the grass, I decided to cut my hair. One less thing for her to do. Sure do enjoy summertime at the house.
What if it Snows?

Exactly, we knew a guy that went out with a doe tag and saw one, shot, deer falls down, then a couple seconds later it gets up so he shoots again, different deer bedding and blood proved it in his pictures. As was leaving the warden drives by, he explains his side and they go back, found as an accident the already gutted second deer went in the wardens truck and down to the shelter to be used as food.
I've met more than one warden and they have all understood that sometimes s### happens, then like you fish reference if the fish swallow the hook but doesn't meet requirements am I supposed to throw in the river a fish that will die anyway...that would just be stupid.LoSt_AgAiN, spindrift, lovesthedrive and 8 others Thank this. -

Just going to put this here
Texas Republican congressman Louie Gohmert asked a senior US government official if changing the moon’s orbit around the Earth, or the Earth’s orbit around the sun, might be a solution for climate change. The question was not posed to anyone from Nasa, but a senior forestry service official during a House natural resources committee hearing on TuesdayOpus, LoSt_AgAiN, InTooDeep and 8 others Thank this. -
That hand and chese cloth Simoniz polish on the hood does kick the pickups
brake lights back nicely too. Well kept, shows driver pride in his ride.LoSt_AgAiN, lovesthedrive, Dale thompson and 2 others Thank this. -
Did the forestry guy give an answer? This sounds like a case of illustrating the absurd by being absurd.Opus, LoSt_AgAiN, InTooDeep and 7 others Thank this.

Jennifer Eberlien, associate deputy chief of the National Forest Service, said she would have to ‘follow up with you on that one, Mr Gohmert’Opus, LoSt_AgAiN, InTooDeep and 5 others Thank this.

I crossed WB around lunch time. Today was my longest wait in traffic yet at about 1 hr 40 minutes. I tried a new route up Hwy 78 from 240, which turns into EF Crump. Basically HWY 78 runs into the bridge. Unfortunately, it was less than ideal. So while the distance in traffic was likely only a couple miles, but pretty much gridlock. Garmin have me an EB route across yesterday that shaved over an hour off my trip, total wait time was maybe 15 minutes.
Kind of done with Memphis for awhile, I'm headed back out west!Last edited: Jun 10, 2021
