What if random/ out of country?

So what happens when they call you for a random and you don't show up right away because you are out of the country and you don't know. Suspend your authority?

 

They really don't do it down here that much either. The OP, as a new guy, has a legitimate question because he's a responsible person. I think that's a good thing. Unfortunately here, lots of crazy answers.

I have never once thought of what happens at work when I am not at work. I think this is Ridgeline's point too. I would deal with it when I got back if it happened. I can always provide proof of where I was.

 

I have not been called for a random drug test at my consortium since starting on my own and that's over 3 years. Before, as a driver or leased on, it was once or twice a year. Sometimes, I forget that this thing even exists.
