I just uploaded some pictures above. So what would you do in this situation? I understand what you saying and it’s not a problem for me to sweep the trailer, but it was just too much in this case and the main problem the receiver refused to provide the dumpster. If I call the police, for example what could happen next?

With you it was pallet's, with me it always seemed to be load locks. I remember once setting close to 10 of them out once at a truck stop in NY. Because we hauled so much candy I had a lot of rejected boxes. Like I said in my first post, just things that irritate!

We used to do exchange, but that has gone away, mostly, some places charge you for pallets, you most likely will not get them then for what they will give you for them.

CHEP and PECO are owned by those companies, and some places will take them off whether you want them to or not.

I used to sell CHEP pallets at a place near Campbells Soup in North Carolina. The guy would give me $3.00 each, then he spray painted them flat black and re-sold them. One place you can see from the I-95 (Lumberton.)

First my comment about it being right was me trying to make a point. You do what you have to do to get ready for that next load. In my case sometimes I had to find a washout and get blood out. There is no easy answers here. Depends on where you are. I suggest calling your company and asking them what to do with a trailer full of crap.

That's gonna take some work. I would rip the plastic out of the pallets and stack the pallets up. The rest of the garbage can be bagged. It just looks like a big job. Probably take you an hour. Could maybe even try a truck wash place. They may be able to take them off your hands, not sure though. If you know your next shipper call them and ask if they want them for free so no surprise when you arrive.

This is always tempting but it's bad advice. If you do that you'll probably get banned from the customer and they'll probably call your boss and complain.
Who said you couldn't clean out there? If it was just a forklift driver ignore him and go find the supervisor. If he tells you the same thing start looking for a dumpster.
And let your boss know what's going on. It's probably happened before and he might have some good ideas.

I’m the owner operator and use company for dispatch. Company told me to figure it out myself, so that’s what I did - I found recycle place. But I spent time, fuel and my hours. I solved the problem, but I’m asking you if there was any way to make receiver keep this garbage. Is it a part of the load they have to take or it is only my responsibility? Should I just give up next time or there is legal way to fight it? What would happen if I start just sweeping it out right there?

Well...regardless of if they were "allowed" to do it, they still did it. I rigged a pully system in a parking lot tonight to pull a guy out the mud. Am I "allowed" to do that? Not technically.. Thread to follow.

OP: some warehouses are turd holes. Be real nice and get used to it. When t you get known, you get a little extra treatment.

I don’t come same places too much, so I don’t really care if I would get banned. But I care about getting fine if it’s illegal. It was the manager of the facility, it was clinic, so no fork lift drivers, just a team of lumpers they hired for this job. But I see what you all saying, that there is nothing we drivers can do in this situation, but to figure it out ourselves. Thank you everyone for your response
