what if you can't make the DOT random drug test?

Short Answer, YES your gone and no one else will touch you, probably. Still illegal on a federal basis.

 

Better to not show up then test positive.

 

Let's face it driver's living a normal life is not a part of being a driver , so kiss all the off duty good times away , I used to say we have to live like Monks , but hell they drink brandy.
My rule for 30 years was 24 hrs bottle to throttle.

 

You could have car trouble or something..

 

That's been tried and counts as a refusal. I personally worked with a driver that tried that and he was fired.

 

If your in there truck it should be easy enough a hundred ways to make them not run.

 

And they'll say get a cab or catch an uber/lyft.
