If you are not driving there is (or was) a way to put your CDL on “hold” so you don’t need to do the med card, 30 days after ex it gets down graded
What if your medical certificate expires?

Here’s my Med card story: My medical was up in September of 2020. I don’t know how the rest of the country works, but in the Peoples Republik of Kommifornia, where I live, your medical is online. When you go get your test, if you pass, they register it for you with dmv, and the feds. Or so you think. The Dr that did mine said that he would turn it in, and away I went. 16 months later, I decided to start my Authority, as to I was just hauling my own equipment from job to job, and now I decided to run commercially. Well, the compliance company that I contracted with notified me that my medical expired two days after I took my test, in 2020. The ####### never turned it in. I was able to get a copy of my test, and email it to the dmv. Thankfully I didn’t lose my license. So, fellow Komrads of Kommiefornia, double check after you do your medical!!
