If I’m governed at 68,and I come up on someone going 66/67,then I just get in line and let the cruise carry me along. Its OK to be second.

Start my descents at the right speed and let the Jake carry me down, while I watch you super truckers let your brakes do it.

Out of Laredo Tx to El Paso, I learned to pass the slow Swift Trucks on the huge right shoulder only present in Texas. Then when they would scream on the CB, I would respond “tap the brakes for the 30 seconds and let the other driver pass” just a common courtesy no matter which highway or interstate we all are on. Never understood Yankee Truckers and their 60.5 mph drag race, respect everyone and tap the brake for 30 seconds every now and then

Some of the drivers who look at a speed limit sign or "no trucks allowed" or "no parking sign" and ignore it obey a "no trucks in left lane" sign that isn't there. I'll bet those drivers also ride in the middle lane all day and never think they are preventing any safe passing by doing so.

All of those posts and the OP's list don't trump this one.

In the first year of being in a truck, the number one skill you need to learn is a two-parter -

Learn how to put your GARBAGE in the garbage can which includes how to dispose of your piss and crap properly.

    AND ...

Learn how to go to take a piss and crap in the bathroom, not in the fuel aisle or behind the trailer or where ever.

Second year you finally learn that all the stuff you learned the first year in the book doesn’t apply to the real world of trucking and you start to learn the actual street smarts and common sense to live and survive in the lifestyle.

#5 is not wrong. Please look up the definition of the word " most " in the dictionary.

Everyday situations and scenerios you encounter that don’t align with the school book training. Do they leave you stumped because you didn’t read it in a book or can you on your own problem solve thru them? That is the example.
