Starting to look towards winter, and sitting idling to keep cab relatively warm-------well, at least USED to idle------with cost of fuel, not such an attractive alternative anymore.
What supplementary heaters are you using?
I found one on the web------Webasto.......but have no knowledge of this one, or others.
It appears that Webasto has an in-cab heater that can be hooked in tandem with engine heater.
Comments appreciated.
Thanks.

Webasto and Espar are the biggies in this industry and they are both well-made and have an extensive service network. There might be others, but I'm not sure I'd waste my time with them - regardless of cost. The other way to go is with an APU which will supply engine-generated heat.

i have the espar heater in my truck and it will flat out keep the truck warm during the winter it works great mounts underneath the bunk and has line run from the fuel tank to it then has a fan to circulate the hot air the exhaust comes out underneath the cab along with the air intake for it it takes about 16 hours to burn a gallon of diesel it comes with little box you mount in the sleeper that has a knob you turn to adjust the temperture and three buttons on it one turns heater part on then one turns off and third one turns just the fan on

This is one of those subjects that appears periodically on the boards. I remember Burky had a Webasto...
