I use the 1500W one that you can get from any Pilot. Had it for almost a year now and it works well.

I have had my 2500 watt Cobra for a year now and it has been absolutely flawless. Got it on Ebay shipped to my door for $169.

I use a 400 watt Cobra for my laptop. Xantrex is a high end brand, but you will pay for it. I had one a few years ago. I have an apu for my microwave now.

I've had a Vanner (made in Ohio) for 26 years, no problems.

what is the highest watt inverter you can run on a standard 12v plug?
Our company does not want us doing inverter wiring to the batteries on the company trucks.

I have either a 400 or 450 watt Cobra that plugs into the cigarette lighter. That is the highest watt that I can recall seeing that doesn't need to be direct wired to the batteries. I mainly use it to power my laptop and printer. If you want to use a microwave you will probably need something more powerful that is direct wired.
