We all who do otr should all be seeing atleast 1k a week, for all the work we do, and crazy hours. We aren't getting paid what we should be.
NoobiDriver and gntorres61 Thank this. -
Tired of the snow and l was looking at Texas. Wife and I have decided its just to far away from family. FL is the next best option for us I dont really want to move 1500 miles to live in a truck. I dont mind a few nights a wk but otr just doesnt work. I have a background in tankers and vans. Tankers both chem and fuel. Any ideas? Btw 26 yrs driving close to 2 million miles accident and ticket free. I do understand the sun tax of fl. Im sure that that are some companys that pay decent and people here on this board probably have a better idea than most

Where in FL are you gonna be located??
KHbigchuckie Thanks this. -
When I lived in Clearwater I worked for Brenntag Mid South. One of the largest chemical companies in the world, based out of Germany. I can tell you I didn't get rich but I made 45k a year and had OUTSTANDING benefits. I worked days, M-F with weekends off.
They have locations in Miami, Tampa, Clearwater and Orlando. I don't think they had a location in Jacksonville but they may now. -
Brenntag deliver's most of the pool chemicals around my area, chlorine and stuff for the supply houses, bet that would make a nice local gig for me when I get tired of the road!!!! They also have service trucks if I'm not mistaken....

Thats right, Orlando and Clearwater handle the chlorine and acid. Tampa and Miami handle industrial chemicals. I used to deliver acid, all palletized and I delivered everywhere from Jacksonville to Miami. My long days out of Clearwater were to Miami but i would turn it in 10-11 hours. Rest of the week was 8-10 hours a day. Cake job and yes we had service trucks that would set up new tanks and take down the old tanks and of course repairs when needed. Great company!jlind and The Challenger Thank this.
