Firstly.. I realize learning to drive is going to be challenging all by itself.. and I understand many people think leasing a truck is stupid.. But I've seen that with work ethic, and a degree of business sense, you can make pretty good money by leasing... at least build capital faster to go buy a truck.
So what is a good starter company that will train.. and then give you options to work as company.. or also become lease operator?
I really had my heart set on Prime but currently it looks like their lease side is messed up and they are ripping off drivers.. only giving cheap loads etc..
Any other good starter companies?

Care to back up statement with facts?
Rather than repeating third party innuendo & generally spouting things out your keester that you have no idea of.........? LOL
You haven't even begun, so you haven't "seen" anything yet....& have no basis to be passing judgement on anyone, let alone spreading disinformation.
Burnin' those bridges before you even get to them, already.....?LOL
Not that I think leasing is a good idea anyway, especially for someone inexperienced.
When looking to be successfull, seek out & learn from those who ARE successfull. You will never learn anything of worth from those that have failed, other than how to fail. Stick to those whom have "been there & done that" for what you wish to achieve.
Good luck to you in your search. Sounds like you have a lot of due diligence yet to go.

Maybe a little more backround about yourself.
If you cross your fingers, rub your belly, turn around two times & chant @Chinatown three times.......you just may get some good leads on some starter companies.LOL

Chinatown Thanks this. -
All the lease programs are about the same! However, with some you can go broke quicker than others!
Western flyer and diesel drinker Thank this. -
I don't care for any of them. As a newbie just hitting the road, may as well go for the fancy trucks with APU, refrigerator, etc. such as Jim Palmer Trucking or Freymiller.
Dartco Inc. trucks are pretty basic and they do have lease purchase.

I noticed a new T-680 a couple days ago....said leased to Swift!...Poor guy will run himself to death just to make the lease payment..
NO way in hell I would ever do a lease purchase deal with any of these places!..
Just a way to make the payment on the truck for the company.....They burn you out then throw another driver in the truck and start all over again......
Find a good paying company job....save your money and buy a decent used truck..
That is what I did back in the early 90's until I went through a divorce and lost half of everything... -
