Try being a company driver first then after 2- 5 years try leasing although if your already earning 50-60 k a year its just not worth going on a lease program its just creates way to many hassles.

No sir not what I said: "Well then what you are saying is that the lease purchase program in any company is not worth it." Do lease w/o any trucking experience. Also advise against leasing on where there are company trucks. I'll add that unless the O/Os outnumber company trucks by a large margin. Do NOT lease a truck from a company that you are bound to a specific carrier.
I don't know how anyone can make money with programs JCT. The website say an leased truck O/O earn .80 - .90 per mi. If that's so, then SNI is a gold mine... LMAO -
HELP - HELP - HELP
question: a friend started to lease with a company, who pays the following, please tell me what is right and wrong and what is best for him to do...
he had as expenses: [SOME OF THESE FEES ARE MONTHLY]
admin charges -GPS 50.00
ins - 150.50
maint fund - 50.00
admin charge - 1st weekly admin fee - 35.00
Log books - 2.00
Escrow - 50.00
total miles - 1251
@ 97 per mile
fuel card advances - 902.29
take home was - 597.
also, the fuel, is that suppose to come out of pocket from him or the company? Again, he is new on the lease on with a company = vs = under his own authority. -
What is wrong? That he doesn't know what he's doing and somehow thinks that you do.
RebelYellingRedneck Thanks this. -

Nothing wrong with that at all, looks good! Tell your "friend" to drive on! He'll be rich before he knows it.

here you go.....
see if this helps you help me, advice him if he is in the right place....he was doing his own authority, but we could not see above water, with all the broker rates being so low...it was just not working out....and so he decided to lease into a company that pays as follows...basically for the ones THAT HAVE THE EXPERIENCE AND DONT MIND HELPING out with advice instead of laughing at us..... -

Over $900 in fuel for under 1300 miles? Is that $400.00 fuel purchase an advance he took? And yes, as a leased-on driver, you will pay for all your fuel. For one of those flat rate/mile deals, 1300 miles a week is grossly insufficient. He's going to need to run upwards of 3k a week to make anything.
kbron Thanks this.
