Yes. Dollar General dedicated. I've NEVER heard of having to pay for your TRAILER to get washed out of your own expense! Sounds like a pretty crappy way to run a company if you ask me. Have the dispatcher trick you into taking a load all the way to BFE & get stuck so you have to do it. How does a company get away with forcing their EMPLOYEES to pay for the trailers to be washed out? We won't be reembursed for it either. I could understand it if it was his truck. But this is the trailer. WTH

Did he inquire about being reimbursed for it? I've never worked anywhere where I wasn't reimbursed for expenses I paid out-of-pocket. Even when I drove for Swift, if, for example, I needed to buy oil on the road and didn't feel like waiting forever and a day for them to get me a Comcheck authorized, I'd call with the amount, get a PO authorized for that amount, pay for it out-of-pocket, turn in a copy of the receipt with my paperwork, and then I'd be reimbursed. If Werner isn't reimbursing you for that stuff, make sure you keep the receipts, regardless - you can at least write the expense off on your taxes.
Actually, if Werner isn't reimbursing you for those sorts of things, you should seek out greener pastures.

Thats what would make sense but how it was put to him was that he pays for it and he does not get reembursed and this is just the way things are done. My husband ended up going back there and cleaning it out hiself on his hands & knees because we can't afford it. Only to get there and see all the other trailers full of trash. BAH!!!

Seriously.. find another company. If a company expects you to do some labor, that's not so bad, but not reimbursing your expenses to maintain their ####? No way, no chance, no how. No driver should put up with that nonsense.

Thanks. Theres been a lot of bull going on. Work is work & they DEFINITELY know he's not afraid to work. Sometimes you gotta eat crow, I understand that. But when it gets to be the entire flock, you start to get a little full. lol
