I just scheduled an interview for driving job next week and was told I'd be taking a map test and a map book test? What exactly do these tests consist of? Has anyone had to take either one of these one to gain employment at a driving job? The job is transporting and servicing portable toilets. I've never heard either of these terms, and I feel anxious walking into things unprepared and not knowing what to expect.
What is a map test?

I think that's the map book test, but she also mentioned something about just a map test. There's 2 types of map tests from what I've gathered. One is some kind of aptitude test, and the other is a test that rates toilet waters performance and efficiency. Based on the job it could easily be either. I'm guessing that it's an aptitude test though. A toilet test is something they'd probably show me on the job. Has anyone ever had to take a map aptitude test for a job, particularly a driving one? What kind of things are on the test?

I think otter is right with post #2.otherhalftw Thanks this. -
I took one b4. They will give you a map and say how whould you get from Athens Al to Sebring Fl? write the route down then how many miles and how long should it take you.
Would be like I would take 65 south for blank miles to us 231 south for blank miles to 10 east to 75 south to turnpike south to us 27 south trip would be 680 miles with 12 hour drive time. -

Why not ask her?
If there are skills you are lacking a good time to study would be before the test. -
Its all in the map book. But Id use mapquest and cheat lol its a lot faster that is if you can take the test home like I had to.But that was years ago for an otr job I dont think anyone even checked it when i turned it in.
But for real I think you are looking into this a bit much its just a job cleaning poopers out.
Can you read a map?
for that job its a local thing like get from here to 366 24th st in the next town over.
Good luck!
