    My favorite is the exemption that was written into the regs for trailers 57' long. Their trucks are exempt regardless of year. Dirksen and their sister company have a huge fleet of 57' trailers. Can you say lobbying power?

    At a CTA meeting, they pointed out that CARB gets no government funding. They only get money from the violation tickets they write. Think they are going to enforce the $1,000 a day fine? Looks like the CARB staff finally has a pay raise coming next year.
