I see this a lot but not sure what it is. I am thinking driving record with CDL ?????
I don't have a CDL but plan on getting one. How do you check your "DAC" .
What is " DAC "

It's pretty much like a credit report for a CDL driver. Has a record of who you've worked for, accidents, incidents, tickets, etc.
You can get a copy of yours here. It takes awhile for them to mail it though.

Thanks Captain, I figured it was something like that. I don't have a CDL but it is nice to know for later.

Originally it stood for Drive-A-Check and like CaptainX3 mentioned it is a product provided by HireRight Solutions, fomerly USIS, to the transportation industry. This company does background checks across many industries and gets poor reviews from not only truck drivers but companies that pay for their services--do a web search. Last year they settled out of court with the FTC for 2.6 million , there is an article on the main homepage of TTR if your interested. The main reason you see it mentioned so much on TTR is trucking companies have for years used the info on DAC for revenge against former employees and have gotten away with it! A DAC check on a potentional driver satisfies the FMCSA three year background check requirement for trucking companies .

Maybe I will check it. How and where was your training with C1 ?
Was it good training.
