What is going on in the LA area?

Not really. I just checked Bay area today & tomorrow. Pretty slim pickings.

This year there is slightly more freight then last year when spot market (load boards) was huge and rates were higher then contract rates that fleets have. Since then big fleets added trucks and can cover almost everything customers have. So a lot less loads goes on the board compare to last year. Also a lot of guys became owner operators, increasing truck capacity even higher so no wonders rates are so low and loads are gone in no time.

 

You must be extremely lucky if you landed one that pays good this time, but thats the way to go anytime
