One quick question whats all involvled in taking a DOT Physical? Is it much different from a personal physician?

If you the document just about any doc or nurse practitioner can do it. Mine does them and she is in an urgent care facility. just has me print the form from the fmcsa sight she fills it out and signs it. easy peazy

A few are different I guess,
I never had a hernia check, or color blindness test either !! -
they run some color charts to see if you can distinguish red green amber
i believe by law its mandatory for the color charts .
10) Has distant visual acuity of at least 20/40 (Snellen) in each eye without corrective lenses or visual acuity separately corrected to 20/40 (Snellen) or better with corrective lenses, distant binocular acuity of at least 20/40 (Snellen) in both eyes with or without corrective lenses, field of vision of at least 70° in the horizontal Meridian in each eye, and the ability to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing standard red, green, and amber; -
Ask for extra KY when they check for the prostate problems!
