I didnt know flatbeders had a reserved section ! Lol ..and I'm very sorry !
This is why I try to park next to other reefers but I'm sorry it dont always work that way .
I also dont like my flatbed brethren waking me up a 5 am beating and banging on chains and binders .
I do at least run my unit on continuous when its jammie time .
    I think were even .

I don't drive a reefer or a flatbed, but if I did I would park it in whatever space suited me, and I wouldn't notice or care what other trucks nearby were pulling. I wouldn't notice or care what trucks who came along to park after me were pulling. I'll notice idiots who blare the radio with their door open or walk around yelling into their goofy headset or who block access to or from spaces or pumps or exits. But I still won't care what they're hauling.

I too like to park in peace and quiet. I try to park 'out back' away from everyone else. I usually luck out. I run in and around Michigan, and shut my engine off for my 10 hour break. That makes for the best sleep out on the road.

I swear to goodness reefer drivers seek out quiet zones in parking lots. And I've had other drivers back me up on this.

There could be 199 parking spaces left in a 200 spot lot and that reefer will park near you if not next to you.

reefers are ok. Some guys drive prehistoric trucks and they idle 24 h. even if outside is nice weather they will idle. This old trucks make more noise than modern reefers. old style Horton fan clutch will not let you sleep or that safety valve on air compressor...

I try to find a flatbed or stepdeck by itself on the upper part of the lot.

I find that the echo & resonance of that vibrating bed is like a plate speaker . . gives some legs to the SOUND of the open door reefer kit. Really carries.

A couple of 40’s from the C-store and a whole bag of cheeseburgers, man, I don’t need no directions back to my truck like some pendejo. She’s singing to me. I always find her.

Carriers are good, but Thermo-King is THE BOSS.

You pull a RAVEN step, I’m watching for ya. Make that sweetness every night.

    Just leave the lights on.
