I HAVE a pre-hire, got a call from Fiona today asking when I want to go to the Orientation, now that I am HIRED by Watkins Shepard I will not be going to a May orientation. The friend is actually the guy I went to school with, he has become a great friend he got his stuff processed through and joined me here as well. He has told the same experience he had to everyone here. When we were in SCHOOL we talked to several drivers that LOVE May, I just stated a FACT of someone's experience the 1st day of orientation. He can hack it he got an offer here as well. Met a guy today who was with May for 9 months then came here and said the 10 day here was much better then his 12 days with a trainer at May. Sorry DUDE I just state facts so people know and can make a good decision. Sorry if you can't handle the truth. I have nothing bad to say about May if I had not made it here I would be going there, I just don't want to be stuck with a trainer when I can do it myself and they make sure you can before they give you a truck. Also if you have not noticed almost everyone on here has said they can't wait to leave May.

What is ACUTELY?, I hope you meant ACTUALLY.

    Good luck to everyone.

Hi TS. I have been watching some of your vids. I am getting ready to start school soon for my CDL. Any info you can give me on May would be appreciated. I am looking at a few companies, and the more info the better.
I don't have PM privileges yet though, so I figured I would reply here.

    Thanks much.

You can find my email on the Internets or post your questions right here. I would post my email but it is against TOS for the truckers report. Look forward to talking with ya!

    JerrytAZ Thanks this.

Just got back into driving after a 3 year break. Was a lease operator w/ England prior. Went w/ May mainly because they're based in Oregon and eventually I might want to get off the road and into Logistics or dispatch, etc. Have to say, so far, they are a good company. Like all the others, it is what you make of it, but I'm pretty impressed so far. Light years better than CRE, but then thats a whole other discussion. They started me out at .34cpm (11 western, dry), which isn't too bad. More than some, less than others. Will probably either lease a truck from them soon, or buy my own, I'll cross that bridge later.
    Just my .02c

    Thanks TS. Couple of questions.
    1. I've seen in this thread some concerns about the idling policy. How is that handled at this time?
    2. How many miles are you averaging per week now?
    3. Do they still have a 50k lifetime max on their health insurance?

    Thanks.
