I used to run Goodyear because I had a deal with a distributor but after the g159 tire exploding thing I've backed off on them.MartinFromBC Thanks this.

Stay away they aren’t safe. Takes lots of skill not to rear end someone I hearFlaSwampRat Thanks this.

Goodyear, Michelin, BF, Yokahama, Toyo, Aeolus, Triangle, Salun, Dayton......Had them all. Sounds like a Hank Snow song.
Michelin is no better than any other, in fact worse. I have to say Aeolus is the best tire for the money. I even recapped a set.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -

Rut roh Shogun in the House this thread just went to hell. Did you rear end anyone with your deadly drum brakes today Sho’?Last edited: Jul 14, 2019
shogun Thanks this. -
Company policy has always been to go in the ditch when traffic slows since drum brakes take a long time to work. We’ve ordered our 2020 tractors with one single disc brake, no brakes on the trailer. Saves weight and less maintenance.rank and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

Excellent idea. Single disks worked for motorcycles. Did they install the single disk on the right side to aid in the ditching?shogun Thanks this.
