According to Kenworth, the "L" is the long hood and the "B" is the shorter hood and also has a larger cab, more head room and leg room.
Also the "B" model is still available
After checking Truckpaper, you can see the "B" model has a shorter hood and more of a set back axle, while the "L" has the long hood and set forward axle

That's what I thought. I was thinkin I read a post here yesterday that the B and L was a year model thing. Course that was 1200 miles ago.
DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
I just know they're available again. -
Had a customer that called his a B model it was a 2005 if I recall. But it was a flat top. And did not have air ride on the cab and bunk. And still had the older style rubber boot between the cab and bunk. It wasn't integrated like the aerocab models.

I've got a 98 W900B. The B model is a shorter taller hood than the L model. Mine is a pretty heavy spec'ed truck so the hood sets about 7 foot tall to the top of the good ornament handle.

It states that the B model offers a more spacious cab with more leg and head room. -
Quality and resale
kona911 and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
Pete is nice to look at. But I prefer an old mack. I'll drive the country in an R model before I take a 100" sleeper Pete. Even the new Mack pinnacle isn't that bad. Too much computer stuff but it's not bad. I also grew up in macks so that sways my position a lot.
