If the fuel price is 3.24 and you get 6 mpg, that,s .54 cpm to go down the road. But then I hear drivers paying 1.25 per gal., when the fsc is .25 per gal. So there paying 2.00 less than the pump price, how does that work ? Thanks

Usually how that is figured varies depending on what company you are leased to. Some companies pass on substantial fuel discounts to owner operators while others just pocket that difference and profit from their o/o on fuel purchases. I use comdata to pay for my fuel and when I go inside to get the ticket it shows I got my fuel at cash price. When I get my settlement a week later it shows I got anywhere from .07 to .30 cents off of the cash price depending on where I fueled at. So if the pump says it cost me $2.87 cash price and I get another $.07 off that with my surcharge at $.30 it would be $2.80/5.5mpg = $.509-$.30 = $.209x5.5mpg = $1.149 so my actual cost per gallon is $1.149 per gallon due to the surcharge and discounts.
