Really? I guess when my Verizon contract ends I'll check Sprint out again after I pay them off...when I had them I'd get no service what so ever from salt lake to Laramie and then none from Laramie to Cheyenne

I'm at the Ruther Glen rest area in Va on i95 NB.

Signal sketchy here. One min I have 3 bars 4G. The next 2-3 bars 3G. Still very doable as far as Netflix or the Web goes.

Here is speed test. Not quite as good as in Moultrie Ga.
This is mobile version. Directly with phone.

That was pretty much my story. Sprint did good for me while in Salt Lake. But soon as I hit the hills or outside of city limits... forget it. No data and voice was sketchy at best.

there are some hills outside of provo. where sprint worked and the company provided V phones didn't.

when i first went to that company, they had a big ski resort job they were building on top of park city. sprint worked, V didn't till you got to the bottom of the hill.

for the most part though, neither had signal in the boonies. but that was 5 years ago.

I'm at New Holland PA. Just dropped off a couple machines here this morning.

Actually kind of shocked at the download speed. To put that into perspective,.. a T3 network is 43mbit. I only have 3 bars of 4G LTE here. Didnt expect to get much more than when in Ruther Glen. I was like whoa when I saw the needle fly up. LOL

I can do the Verizon speed tests.

I need you to do the Sprint speed tests.

Unless you want to add to the Verizon results?

I think if your using a cheapy company phone,.. (Flip Phone?) That may skew the results a bit. My Son's first phone was a cheap HTC phone and my wife and I both had the top of the line HTC phone at the time,.. and we always had a better signal. This was on Sprint in Fla.

Anything under 100ms ping is 'doable' for online gaming. The closer to 50ms the better. Most wireless signals will be rare to go under 50ms. Its just the nature of wireless, routing and network congestion.

I always had a knack for computers. Self taught since the early 90's before there even was an internet. Back in 2008 when I lost my job, I went back to school. Did a 4 yr degree for IT Security, Information sciences and IT management in 42 months. They taught me how to program and hack networks in order to secure them. Database management and Network configurations is another one of my specialties. $80k in Sally Mae loans and the best job I was offered was $12hr as a phone tech. Go figure right?

Much like trucking,.. the computer industry doesnt really care much about a degree or certifications. They care more about how much work experience you have. Since I had none,.. here I am back in trucking.
