Thanks all...as far as asking someone in the store...well thats why I am asking you now..you guys are pro's.kids in the store will sell you anything.
When I gather imput from everyone here it will make it sooooo much easier when I walk in the store and some kid who cannot even vote yet attempts to sell me some thing that will do everything but bake a potato, but then has no clue about real life use of it...I will be prepared when he/she tells me "this is what everybodys is getting"
Thanks I just wanna say, this is what I need and thank you.

I have Tmobile and while I roam a lot, I still get voice coverage 95% and at least EDGE data coverage 80% of the time. I'm either on my native network, roaming on a regional GSM network or on ATT or one of it's subsidiaries. I don't get 3G when roaming but when I use Opera Mini, it doesn't really matter, it works almost the same whether on 3G, EDGE or GPRS. I never do any gaming or live streaming so I'm happy. The big benefit is that my dispatcher is on Tmobile so I get to take advantage of free mobile to mobile calls. I'd probably max out my 3k minutes for our 4 line family plan had it not been for that, lol!
It remains to be seen how much things improve if the ATT/Tmobile merger goes through.
I have a Blackberry Curve 9300 with an Otterbox case that's virtually indestructible. I used to have a MyTouch4G but gave it to my daughter. It was more her style and was too much for me, I didn't use half the stuff that was on it and I find my BB easier for me to use.crazy4chrome Thanks this. -

I carried one for years because of work, now I will never own one again. If the job requires it they pay for it and I may answer it if it suits me. -
I've got Verizon, North American plan with Canada. I've had it for a number of years. In my area alone, most other companies don't work very well, if at all.
There are places I go that the service can get iffy, but overall, it works good for me.
I don't have a smart phone, or any other fancy crap, other than the standard features. My phone does have GPS, camera, and some other garbage I never use, or pay for. The camera can come in handy at times, like taking photos of damaged goods, etc.
Why would I want a so called smart phone, my dumb one outsmarts me.crazy4chrome Thanks this. -
