    I am looking into buying a tractor to pull a trailer for a customer and i wanted to know what would be the best type of tractor and what year i should i get?

    Every type of operation will have different needs. Trailer type, freight, region, length of haul, how often you might venture off pavement, etc...all plays a roll. You wouldn't run an R model Mack day cab with 44k rears on camelbacks OTR pulling a dry box...but you can't do much better than that hooked to an end dump or log wagon. Those stretched out large-car hoods might work great in front of a bull wagon or reefer, but won't fare too well in the woods or on a job site. Decide exactly what/where/how the truck will be put to work, and that'll help narrow down what will be best.
