1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

How did you happen to find that? All the little companies I have contacted either have no openings, get filled before I find out about them or require recent experience which I don't have. So how did that unfold for you? Just lucky? Knew someone? Would like to know if you don't mind my asking. :biggrin_2552:

Guess, it was a little luck being able to find one and also the school I am going through does job placement as well. Plus it doesn't hurt to be a 20 year veteran either. The outfit I am going to runs about 50 trucks. I just made an appointment with the Driver supervisor and sat down and talked to him about running flatbeds, so we just adventually came to an agreement of me starting with them when I get out of school.

I have even started orientation/training with the company already as well, so I will be able to get on the road sooner.

Yes, sounds like the 20 yr degree could have been a very motivational reason! Glad for you and good luck!
