I would run from the transcraft, everybody i know that has owned one has had issues with rust and cracks. If it was me i would spend a little more and get an all alum trailer after having all steel and combos i will never go back. My 92 dorsey spread axel combo was 11500lbs my 2000 Dorsey was 11200lbs same spec as the 92 my 92 fontain all steel was around 12500. My alum ravens runs around 9200lbs.

We are trying to find an aluminum trailer to rent. We are over gross by 1200lbs hauling over width mats. Our lightest steel trailer weights 12,000 lbs. I was wonder what the aluminum weight in at.

Wow, thanks. I do need to do that. Is the mechanical section the right section to post something like that in?

The one I was pulling the 5th wheel plate, the curb side axel mount, the curb side bag bracket, the frame cross members in the same location curb side.

Also there was a crack in the frame about half way up the trailer, lucky it did not split in two, it split right at the weld.
