Forgot the DIFF LOCK on going down the highway. I will find out before winter comes again how much this will cost me.

I didn't get any time with a trainer. I hailed 2 loads of sand with the boss. After that, I was on my own. Dropped the end dump and hooked to. A flatbed to pick up some RR ties. Had to cross the scale coming in for your empty weight. I did that, but when they asked me "Empty?" I just said " Yup". There was two other drivers there that just started laughing. He asked again "Your empty weight".
That was a little embarrassing.zoekatya Thanks this. -
I always do the landing gear first, then pull the release, then climb up to unhook the airlines.
Same as when I hook up. Raise the landing gear, then I hook up the airlines.
That is the way they taught us so that we never dump a trailer or drag the landing gear. Always do the landing gear first. -

On my very, very first load, it was heavy paper rolls. My trainer told me to always slide my tandems under the load and it will be legal (horrible advice). The rolls of paper were stacked all the way to my door, so I slide the tandems all the way back and actually drove through three states like that before an open scale pulled me in and gave me a ticket within a few hours of my first run. I didnt think I would last a week in trucking after that.

Had a delivery in Wyoming during the middle of the night, and had some really crappy directions and place wasn't in the GPS but was located on some back country dirt roads. No cell phone coverage either.
After I turn onto the dirt road and drive to where this place was supposed to be it turned out to be not there.
There was no place to turn around on this dirt road, so I kept driving (2 hrs left to drive) to find a place to get turned around. I ended up doing a post-trip, logged off duty, and then logged out of the computer system. I ended up driving around for about 8 hours until I finally was able to get turned around and back onto the highway.
I told dispatch that they can find someone else to do this crap. Once I get to a truck stop, I just started laughing because I was so frustrated. -
I just post tripped my truck...logged it and got out and post tripped it again. ..I feel retarded
