Mirror test around here is; “if you have a reflection, you pass”

There is the story of one driver who passed the mirror test, and the boss asked if the hairy guy next to him had a CDL. The driver said “ the Dog?” The Boss replied “he’s got a name I’ll take that as Yes”. I never heard if they ran ‘team’ or ‘solo’. :)

I tell you something that I told the mayor today at church that will make you think about it again:

I told the mayor that I was upset over something that has been bothering me since May.

In May I stopped by to see my mom and found she had a gas leak in her house so I called the fire department. First fire truck arrived and I showed them to the back yard. When we got to the back yard one of the firemen was out of breath. I looked at him like WTF all we did was walk from the street to the backyard.

In June I stopped by to see my mom again and found her laying in the garden because she lost her balance fell and hit her knee on a rock breaking her knee. So, I called the EMS. When they arrived I showed them to the backyard again. This time one of the paramedics was to tired to carry the stretcher with my 100 pound mom on it to the road, so, they called for a fire truck to come and help.

Yesterday, in the local newspaper on the front page was a picture of two of our town's firemen sitting on the grass in front of someone's house. Both appeared to be at least 300 pounds each. One was being hosed down while he was drinking some bottled water. The other was being housed down while he was getting oxygen. It was 92 out yesterday so I will give them that much. But, the news article said that they responded to the address for a shed fire and that they had to call for a 2nd alarm to help on a dam shed fire. It was a little 8'x10' plastic shed like you get at Wal-Mart.

I told the mayor I believe that most of the police and fireman in our city could not pass a basic DOT Medical Exam that is required of everyone of my drivers every 2 years.

The world would be a better place if everyone went through a DOT style physical and drug test. Especially if you want state aid of any kind or work and receive a paycheck.

In all honesty, they're going to want a work history. You'll need to put any and all tickets accidents charges ect ect.You do not receive an interview like a non trucking job.Recruiter will call you maybe ask questions that you may have not filled out correctly or missed on the application. You work history is very important. They do not want any gaps.

How about with no driving experience out in the ND oilfields? Would it be that easy to find a job?
