Buying a truck is easy. Driving a truck isn't very hard. Running a business and making good financial decisions based on what you know is the difficult part.
Apply yourself. You can do this if you want to bad enough.dwells40 Thanks this. -
I do a few PO loads every now and then.
I run into quite a few problems with the trailers that cost me a lot of time.
You never know what you got yourself into until ya pull up.
Flat tires
Bald tires
Weather rotted tires
Frozen brakes
Worn out brakes
Frozen s cams
Air leaks
LIGHTS OUT
ABS don't work
Trailer overloaded
Trailers that have been sitting a long time and never serviced.
Things to think about $$$$$loudtom, dwells40, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this. -
Your fuel should be less $ with a fuel card
I figure my truck gets the first $1 per mile based on 120k per year
I figure a payment whether I have one or not
Figure $0.10 per mile for maintenance
Then insurance etc
It’s pretty close to that dollar, little less and any miles over 120k are pretty much all profits as my expenses are already covered by that 120k numberdwells40 and 24kHotshot Thank this.
