How old is to old? I saw an old Brockway that looked real nice running down the road a week or so ago. Any one know when they stopped building them?

Mack bought 'em around 1956, and I want to say 1977 was the last year for production....

1977 sounds about right , by that time they were not much more than a RENAMED Mack.

See some nice restored ones in / around NYC and JERSEY

Not a bad rig, Always liked those old macks, other than the lack of a usefull jake brake.

The oldest dumps I've seen are usually owned by State Highway Depts. It's common to see decades-old Brockways, Macks, Autocars.. lots of forgotten names. Those REALLY old rides were built tough and thick to last forever. And they just might.

The best models are usually the heaviest. Overbuilt is better.

I learned how to drive on a 1945 Ford 8n tractor that my great grandfather bought new. Grandpa still has it.

    If it was a 1945, it wasn't an 8n.
