1. Lying
2. Complete and total disrespect for HOS rules (got tired of having to turn off the phone after running 24 hours straight, decided I wanted to go legal)
3. Junk (and I mean JUNK) tractors and trailers. Can't believe I didn't get popped in Kentucky. -
1. Money/miles
2. Piss poor equipment
3. Company not taxing properly, I really don't want IRS issues.
4. Dispatchers telling me how to drive rather than doing their jobs properly
I no longer drive for mileage pay so it's not an issue anymore for me but certainly for others it is. -
Junk trailers, poor home time, and as an 11 Western driver I found myself in Jacksonville and Tampa. 11 Western turned into The States West of the Atlantic.

slow wagon in fast traffic
As for why I quit swift it was because of low pay and low miles. no complaints otherwise. -
Schnieder - Took all of the NC and eastern TN drivers off of the Sears account. We were told it was because they were not making enough profit, because we were all top pay. They replaced me with a driver making 10cpm less. I went from making $1014 and home 3 days a week to having to stay out for 2 weeks OTR and only making $700.
US Xpress - Low miles
Cargo Transporters - Added cameras in the cab to watch the local and regional drivers 24/7. -
Well, I quit Truck Service mostly for equipment. Decent company. Nice people. They treated me well and I made a decent living. But their trucks are just falling apart and the shop sucks. Disappointing for a decent company to screw itself over like that.

Muney, muney, muney.

Lying and crap equipment. And I tell them up front during their orientation that they get 3 strikes and Im gone.
-
I think many of them take advantage of the 3 strike crowd.
I've walked on strike one, when it involves my money.
As long as they don't try to steal from me. I allow a bit of wiggle room. Steal from me. And I'm gone.
