Patience is a virtue - your going to need alot of it in this business, if you don't have it, your in trouble at the starting gate. Getting smart with people cause you not getting the "answer" YOU want, the way you want it, won't work. You and dispatch are NOT going to get along. I think the people on here are trying to give you more information on trucking and the answers you want, they are trying to help someone out. The search area you have been requested numerous times to go to, is a valuable tool. In trucking, dealing with companies, dispatch, and the general public, your going to be doing alot of search for answers. Relax, your not even there yet and your already getting frustrated. I understand you want answers, and I think the people on here are trying to do just that.
DAC - my husband just got a copy of his, the only thing on it is: 4 years ago his licensed was suspened for 30 days, due to me not sending in the insurance notification thing (the random one, he was OTR, I couldn't sign it for him, our insurance company helped with this one), it also shows where it was reinstated 2 days later due to proper insurance notification. Has one company showing he quit, no explanation or anything, just that "Employee terminated employment". Has all his personal info on it: DOB,SS#, license #, address, that kind of stuff - also, it does show the company that went out of business that he drove for 9 years ago. Hope this helps alittle - Please don't get frustrated, these people really are here to help, it's the weekend, maybe you'll get more answers now that more are home. Good Luck.....................Lori -
To anyone who read and answered my blog... Fletch4, I am sorry for anything rude I may have said. We do want to be a good team driver. We are a little scared right now, as our market has gone way down, and my daughter has to have some medical procedures done... That is NO EXCUSE!! I apologize again,, I guess I worry about how we can make it driving together. Thanks and again I apologize...

Sorry, but you are wrong on both cases. The DAC/USIS report is a system developed solely to allow subscribing companies to report ANYTHING they want to about a driver. If a company wants to report that a driver sneezed in an unappropriate manner, they can do so. With that said, a driver can and should dispute any inaccurate DAC entries and submit a "rebuttal statement" to be attached with said entries. Those are the black and white facts. Here is the practical answer; Don't go to work for one of the mega-companies that turn drivers over like grandma used to turn her mattress. The large companies are the only ones who really use DAC and some are even finally seeing it for what it is (a blackballing tool) and discounting SOME info found therein. As someone whom employs drivers, I couldn't care less what a person's DAC report says as I will never see it. I, along with many others like me, still do our homework/hiring the old fashioned way; check references, traditional job interviews, MVR reports, and a VERY VERY comprehensive driving skills test.
As for the MVR; It WILL show all violations whether moving or non-moving. The moving violations show all the details. The non-moving violations usually just show date, location, and non-moving. This can be a pain for those qualifying new-hires as we have no way of knowing if the non-moving violation was a parking ticket, a log violation, an overweight ticket, etc... -
