Is that everywhere in NA or even in every state?
That's what I was trying to convey?

The federal bridge formula is pretty standard among the states I believe. What states do in excess of 80,000 lbs. varies a lot, but often still must conform to the bridge formula.

    But ''why'' is Fl different?
What do they know that nobody else does or not?
Just saying they allow it doesn't answer the ?

''Why'' do different states measure kpra differently then?
Some say 40 ft to center of rear axle, some say 41 ft to center of rear axle group, some even 43ft.
Some states care if it is an exact measurement, others don't care,
How does the frost law affect a bridge, [over water].

KPRA is not predicated on weight, but rather off-track. Why states differ would have to do with what the state's engineers have determined the turning radius of the roads can handle.

Northern states obviously have different problems than southern states regarding frost laws. Again, the state engineers monitor their infrastructure and determine what should be allowed weight-wise, but the federal bridge law is for the most part accepted as a minimum allowance across the lower 48.

I don't think California's KRPA is in place due to weight.

    I stand to be corrected.
