There's more to it then just torque divided by gear ratio..... tire size is in that equation too...
But I forget what the equation was to get the proper number.
If your at 725 HP your probley up around 2250 torque.. just a close estimate.
What is the REAL maximum HP/Torque that can be put to a RTLO16913A ?

What RPM was that taken at?
Was that at the RPM where it made 725hp?SAR Thanks this. -
Not to most dyno operators that I have talked too, if that were the case then it would be factored into the drive line loss for HP as well.
That truck could have very well only been showing that if he gave him the number that was showing when it was at max RPM making peak HP.SAR Thanks this. -
I'm north of 725 and I'm not pushing no 2800 ft lbs.
Oxbow, Broke Down 69, stwik and 1 other person Thank this. -
Wait....what?! I thought monster was pushing over 1000?Oxbow Thanks this.

No..no..no ! Little south of that.LOL

If it put down 5500# and it was in top gear, it would have done something more like 7530 in direct where you're supposed to dyno a truck. Divide that by 3.36 and you get 2241...pretty close to what Swan estimated
Cat sdp Thanks this. -
Then it was not ran correctly, trucks should always be ran in direct.
-
No argument here but theres lots of things that should be done correctly that aren't. I was just trying to take his number and come up with a realistic torque number. Who knows what the real number is thoughswaan Thanks this.

What kind of paint did you use on the engine? Did you paint it yourself?
