I looked at the USPS site to find out if they are hiring. They usually have lots of openings for rural mail carrier especially in the "boonies", hence the job is called "rural mail carrier". What is this test that they require you to take and pass and how do you prepare for it?
what is the test about when trying to work for the United States Postal Service?

I believe you're talking about the civil service exam. I don't know exactly what it entails, but for a lot of government jobs, maybe even all of them, you have to take and pass it. There are many links if you search it that have practice tests you can take to see what it is.

There's a youtube about the test and in major book stores you can purchase the study guides for the tests or order the study guide for the particular position you're interested in.

I looked up what type of exam is given. I think it's called 473 Battery Exam.
Skydivedavec Thanks this.
